Let´s Dance

Once a pillow now a purse. Fourty year old striped pijamas now, another purse. Everything that once was can be something new again, you just need to get on with it and make it. Tired fabrics who had seen their days can embark on new adventures, make new friends. Let objects choose you.

Buttons, Buttons... Sunnies

Happy to have my buttons finally in the studio. Happier still with my new vintage sunnies. I just could not resist the fact the they are called "Helldriver". Who comes up with these names anyway?

Its the time...

... of the season. Two new purses perfect for warm summery days. The ideal accessories for an afternoon of beer or wine sipping and perhaps if your palate agrees a platter or two of salty, garlic snails to nibble on. It smells like spring outside.

Wonderful

I love this purse... so cheerie. The African fabric is a recent acquisition. Amazingly this fabric travelled from Senegal to Australia to here, Lisboa Portugal. We all must travel now and then and so this purse is dedicated to all the friends we have left far away and to those friends we have not yet left but know soon will. Getting close to getting my special 9 purses complete... why is it taking so long?

Soft Hello

Well...I finally know who left this little message on my table... I am not sure the message was for me... but it was well received and appreciated all the same. Speaking is so lame sometimes... and we know how much words can hurt some of us not made out like onions and out of the feathers stolen off the backs of ducks.

And so because... "A painter paints pictures on canvas. But musicians paint their pictures on silence."( Leopold Stokowski) ... let´s never speak and hope we can mend broken hearts.

I fell in love with this shirt dress last night... And because looking sharp is just the beginning...you can get your knives, scissors and whatever else needs sharpening sharpened as well as your umbrellas fixed by Zé, who obviously also has a bit of a thing for Benfica.

Side Projects

Now and then we find the time... and this time it was the "We Hate Tourism Tours" time. This was a fun project to collaborate on, Bruno hand drew everything, together we scanned and tweaked and, voilà! (literally "see there"; in French it can mean simply "there it is"; in English it is generally restricted to a triumphant revelation). I would prefer to say..."there you have it".

First Spring weekend

After such a busy week it was nice to get away to a place where the sun was warm, the fields green, the flowers abloom, the food aplenty and the easter cakes... delicious. I could not have asked for more. I was refreshed and inspired by nature´s persistence and given hope for better everythings. After all if we can make little chickens out of figs, sugar and red food colouring, anything is possible.
